PARANORMALCY is a tale of a teenage girl who works for an agency that tracks down and controls paranormal creatures. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Kiersten White has become a go to author for me after reading Hide and Mister Magic, so when I found myself wanting an easy fun book that would refresh me after a couple of hard days, PARANORMALCY fit the bill…. That is what I was feeling when I decided to pick up a copy of PARANORMALCY. Sometimes you just want a quick fun read to erase the stress of a day (or adulting). The emotions and struggles of the characters typically resonate with my inner angsty teenage self and I are transported back to times that are simpler, where I nostalgic moments like first kiss, related frustration with the restraints of an adult world, and other experiences that are new to a young individual but that have become commonplace for us adults. For me YA books are fun, easy reads that whisk me away to another time in life. Some people don’t understand the lure of YA fiction for adults.
