Free and open to the public, the twice-annual lectures bring recognized speakers at the forefront of cosmology and astrophysics research to campus for the benefit of the university and central Ohio community. Jack and Forest Lynn Biard Cosmology and Astrophysics Lecture is an annual series of lectures created and endowed by a generous estate gift by the late Captain Forrest R. She is the author of the book 'The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking)' and has written for a number of popular publications, such as Scientific American, Slate, Sky & Telescope, Time, and Cosmos magazine. She is currently an assistant professor of physics at North Carolina State University, where she is also a member of the Leadership in Public Science Cluster.
